CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
2007-2008
2008-2009

Get involved! It is a well-known fact that the active and involved student is happier and generally more successful in school as a whole!

Students participating in co-curricular activities need to maintain passing grades in required subjects and must demonstrate appropriate behavior both in and out of selected activities. A one time $25 fee is required prior to participation in extra-curricular activities and a one time $50.00 fee for interscholastic sports.
Joining an activity is a commitment; regular attendance is required.

Students participating in extra curricular activities are required to pro
vide their own transportation home in the case of after-school activities.

Click here to view and download the Co-Curricular Activity Guidelines form.

INTERSCHOLASTIC SPORTS

Interscholastic sports at the 7th and 8th grade levels include boys’ football, girls’ volleyball, boys’ and girls’ basketball, wrestling, and boys’ and girls’ track. Sixth, seventh and eighth graders may participate in cross country and wrestling.

Participation Philosophy: It is our desire to play each athlete as much as possible, and in as many contests as possible. The student/athlete’s physical condition, displayed desires, and intensity of competition will be taken into consideration in determining playing time. Most tournaments will have limited rosters and athletes will be selected by coaches for tournament teams.

The following are necessary to participate in Interscholastic sports:

1. Parental permission
2. Current physical exam card, signed by physician (one per year)
3. Coverage by insurance, either limited accident insurance provided through the school or proof of insurance by signed waiver (available in the school office)
4. Good academic standing and citizenship as well as required attendance at practices

STUDENTS MUST HAVE A CURRENT (NO MORE THAN ONE YEAR OLD) SPORTS PHYSICAL ON FILE IN OUR SCHOOL OFFICE BEFORE BEING PERMITTED TO TRY OUT FOR AN INTERSCHOLASTIC SPORT.
