What is the lunch account system? It is a computer based system where your student will use his/her school ID or student ID number as a debit card.

What do I have to do to set up a lunch account? Every student in the school will automatically have an account set up with his/her picture on the account. You will have the option to put funds in the account to activate it.

How will my student access the lunch account? By inputting their student ID # at the cash register.

Can anyone else use my student's account? We at Sodexho strive to protect your child's account by using a picture ID provided by the school to be matched to the picture on the screen.

How much money can I put on my student's account? Any amount. We encourage you to send a check weekly or monthly rather than daily. Checks should be made out to St. Charles C.U.S.D.

Will I be able to send cash with my student on a daily basis? Yes.

Should I send cash or a check? Checks are preferable and can be tracked. We are trying to eliminate cash handling and loss as much as possible.

How do I place funds on my student's account? You may put money directly on your child's account by going online to cafeprepay.com or you may send a check or cash with your student anytime to be handed directly to the cashier at lunch time.

How will I know when to send additional funds? Your student will receive a verbal notice in line when the account balance falls below $3.00.

What items will my student be able to purchase with this account? Anything that we offer: Suggestion: Please give your student your expectation on their daily spending.

Can I find out how my student uses this account, items purchased and dates? You may go online to cafeprepay.com or you may request a participation report by calling the school cafeteria manager.

What happens to any student account funds remaining at the end of the school year? Account balances will carry over to the next school year or can be refunded if you move out of the district.

This fee covers the processing fees imposed by the credit card company, bank transfer fees, as well as the cost of maintaining their website.
