St. Charles North High School

Our certified athletic trainers provide athletic training coverage to all the athletic teams at St. Charles North High School. This includes emergency care and prevention of athletic injuries, also evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, as well as medical referral to physicians. It is mandatory that all athletes have a current athletic physical on file.

In the event an athlete is injured and they are referred to a physician, they are required to have a medical release identifying any limitations or restrictions before returning to participation.

The athletic training program provides an excellent opportunity for SCN students who express an interest in the profession of Athletic Training or Sports Medicine to become part of the team. Student athletic trainers develop basic skills in first aid and athletic training by working with the Certified Athletic Trainers while assisting the coaches and athletes at St. Charles North High School. Ms. Labuz and Ms. Bernard are NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainers and Licensed through the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. In addition, Ms. Labuz is a physical education teacher here at SCN and Ms. Bernard is affiliated with Fox Valley Orthopedics.
