Mid-Valley Special Education Cooperative provided social work services to twenty programs throughout the Mid Valley Special Education Cooperative. Service was delivered using direct, consultation, group and individual modalities. Our social workers provided support to teachers and worked collaboratively in developing new strategies for social skill development.

A new intervention utilized this year was having students write and do role-playing involving social problems and solutions. They also videotaped the role play sessions. Several classes developed units on life skills that assisted the students with fund raising for positive reinforcement projects. Social Workers also focused on developing and implementing functional analysis and behavior intervention plans with systematic procedures being implemented across programs.
