Mission Statement

The mission of the LRC program is to provide students and staff with quality resources, guided access to information and instruction in order to support the curriculum, enhance teaching and foster a lifelong love of reading and learning in all students.

Purpose of the K-5 Learning Resource Center program

Check Out Policy

Students may check out books at any time during the week. Kindergarteners may check out one book at a time, 1st-5th graders may check out two books at a time. Books are checked out for two weeks and may be renewed. We do not charge fines for overdue materials; however, students are responsible for books that are damaged or lost.

Technology

The LRC has an automated circulation system and has five card catalog computers. There are 18 desktop computers with Internet access in the LRC. Classes also have access to wireless laptops. District Technology Use Agreement

 

 

Happenings in the LRC...

First Grade students will be learning about Eric Carle. To learn more about Eric Carle, visit his website at http://www.eric-carle.com/

Fourth and Fifth graders will be participating in the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award. Click below for more information on this program.
