The mission of Davis School is to develop lifelong learners who respectfully, responsibly, and effectively build their own futures and positively impact their world and the world of future generations.
We believe:

-that learning in our school environment must be relevant and authentic addressing the whole child and involving the community as a vital resource;

-that each child is unique, capable of learning and valuing individual differences and cultures, and that our expectations have a direct effect on the growth and learning of students;

-that the teacher is both a teacher and a learner who is a guide, a coach, and a facilitator;

-that learning is a social process and that an interactive environment is necessary within the school and the classroom, extending to the home and the community;

-that the process of learning is as important as its products and that value must be placed on student responsibility and decision making in learning experiences and in assessment.
