Parents Here at Bell-Graham we are truly lucky. Every day 575 children (as of the day I write this) grace our doors eager to learn. Each of them brings his or her own personality, talents, and history which contribute to the diversity of our population and richness of our learning atmosphere. They delight us with their enthusiasm for life and learning, their spontaneity, their intelligence, and their insight. Our students bring the Bell-Graham community of parents and staff together for common purpose, their well-being as learners and as citizens of this world. We have a staff truly committed to their calling as educators. Teachers and support staff work diligently to prepare students for future educational experiences, as well as life experiences. Bell-Graham parents go “above and beyond” to help however they can. They value education and instill that value in their children. They provide the love, encouragement, support that free students to be themselves and to learn.
As principal, I am in a unique position. The very nature of my job enables me to work on a daily basis with the Bell-Graham community of students, staff, and parents. I am grateful for the chance to be in the company of such a dedicated, inspiring population. And so, at this time of year I am reflecting upon my fortunate circumstances and feeling thankful.
I am sure all of the adults at Bell-Graham would agree that the greatest joy, though, comes from the gift of being with your children. They amaze us with their knowledge. They make us smile and laugh. They learn from their mistakes. They surprise us. They warm our hearts. They care about others. They work hard. The list could go on and on, but, in essence, they demonstrate all the fine qualities we all hope for in our children. In them we see the future and renew our commitment to providing an excellent education for all Bell-Graham students.
