The Internet is a fantastic source of information for students and parents. The following sites could be of help as you and your child learn about different subject areas. While sites do change, the material on these sites should be appropriate. Of course this cannot be guaranteed because of the quickly changing nature of the Internet and the links that are made to other sites which might not be appropriate. Filters do not even guarantee that your child will not find or stumble upon inappropriate sites or material.
Your good supervision of and communication with your child is the strongest protection you have to offer. You might consider having the computer your child uses in a public space such as a family room or kitchen to facilitate the goals of educating and protecting your child. Be careful out there as you enjoy the rich resources the Internet has to offer.

Clip Art Sites
How to save clip art: If only a small picture of the art is shown (a thumbnail), click on the art and make sure there is not a larger image. (For Macs) Put your cursor on top of the clip art you want. Click and hold until a menu comes up. Select "download to disk." You can then save it to your desk top or wherever you want. (For PCs) Right click on the art and then save the image. Some images look better on the screen than they do if you print them out. If you shrink the image, they often look better when printed.
