The Kindergarten Curriculum can be found by clicking here.

What is the difference between the curriculum for the All Day and the Half Day kindergarten programs?
  • All students will receive the core curriculum in a Half Day program
  • Those students who attend the all day kindergarten program will engage in more in-depth learning experiences of the core curriculum during the additional time
If I select Half Day for my child, how will the first grade teacher handle teaching my child?  How are you going to meet the needs of my child?
  • Our teachers are prepared to meet the needs of all learners
  • There is great variability among children’s experiences in kindergarten, first and second grade. We will address the needs of students in the same way that we address the various needs of students coming from different preschool experiences
If I select the Half Day program, is it possible that my child will be moved from the school assigned to our attendance area?
  • Kindergarten students will be placed based on enrollment numbers at their home schools.  Every effort will be made to move the least amount of students.  Parents will be notified by letter if the potential exists that enrollment will exceed capacity at their home school.
What is the length of the All Day Kindergarten program?
  • 8:40 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., consistent with the school day for Grades 1-5
  • Students will remain in school for lunch; they may purchase lunch or may bring their own lunch
How will transportation be provided?
  • Through our normal bussing services.  In a case where a student needs to attend a different school other than their assigned school due to enrollment capacity, that student will be bussed from their assigned school to their newly assigned school.
