it means to student achievement. The group will hear the pros and cons of this sometimes controversial issue - whether it be dual language programs, dividing males and females into separate classrooms with distinct curricula or various types of magnet school programs.
Dr. Don Schlomann, Superintendent of Schools, will discuss the various options for choice offered by school districts across the country and provide information to help the group sort out the positives and negatives of choice programs including how school choice can affect traditional programming and school boundaries.
Following the informational presentation, the Summit 303 group will have an opportunity to voice their opinions on whether school choice would be a good fit for District 303.
Summit 303 meetings are conducted in the lower level of the Charlestowne Mall, Route 64 & Kirk Rd. and begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. More information is available at www.d303.org or by calling (630) 513-3030.
